Creminelli Fine Meats Receives National Recognition
New York (June 6, 2008) – A panel of specialty food experts has selected 10 products as Silver Finalists for Outstanding New Product of 2008 in NASFT’s 36th annual sofi™ Awards competition. Judges sampled and evaluated close to 600 new products at the NASFT offices in New York this week to determine the finalists for this industry honor. Submissions were judged on numerous attributes, including quality, taste, innovation, packaging, ingredients and pricing. The judges were: Kara Rubin, Whole Foods Market; Brian D. Caplan, Bacchus Wine & Spirits; Shirley Cheng, Culinary Institute of America; Robert Sickles, Sickles Market; Michelle Cosmo, Crate & Barrel; Liz Neumark, Great Performances; and Marge Perry, magazine and newspaper columnist. The final judging to select the sofi™ Gold Winner for Outstanding New Product of 2008 will take place June 29 and June 30 at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. The judges will also evaluate 140 additional Silver Finalists in 31 other categories, including Outstanding Appetizer, Antipasto, Salsa or Dip; Outstanding Chocolate, and Outstanding USDA-approved Organic Product.
