Cache Valley Gardeners Market customer comments

This market is low key and fun. The crowds are manageable and a great variety of local grown/produced food items. My kids are able to play in a nearby playground. They have a fun fall celebration with activates for kids as well.

As a vendor who has attended at least 6 different markets I love the setting and atmosphere at the CVGM.  The staff does a great job; the fees are relatively low since the market is run by volunteers.  But most importantly the CVGM has clearly created a venue where customers love to come week after week. They come to visit with friends, enjoy the music and support the local food system and local crafters.

Lots of fun food and craft booths

We are an awesome bunch of local farmers and artisans who get together each week to share our talents with the community.  My emphasis is produce of course, but, until the veggies come on I make Jams with locally grown fruits (and some veggies!!)  We have talented craftsmen from every area and so much fun!! YOU should come check it out and see why we are the BEST!!    It is important that we as Americans learn to be self sufficient in every way.  We need to learn how to raise our own food, make our own clothing, and every staple.  Our gardeners' market could teach the community how to sustain itself with the knowledge that its members have.  I only wish that people didn't think that we were "just a bunch of hippies" and realized the importance of what we are teaching our children!!

It is awesome!! Fresh Locally grown fruits and Vegetables.  I can help support my friends and neighbors and I know that I am supporting my own economy.  It is great!!

Friendly folks and fresh goods of all kinds. The food and other items to be found at the Cache Valley Gardeners Market carry low-miles; all local!

Great people. Great atmosphere and exceptional food.

We love the community that our market fosters.  We have CASs and local growers all coming together along with local artisans and music to round out the fun.  The food is wonderful and so is the friendship.  I know my money is staying with local families that need it and supporting our market is supporting our town.  My family loves our weekly outing to the Cache Valley Gardener's Market.  :-)

Here in our beautiful valley, agriculture is rooted deep in our heritage.  It is wonderful to see that as cities grow people still want to farm and hold on to those roots.

It is inexpensive to set up a stand, (starting at 10 a week) even kids can come and sell their veggies. Also, cool live music.

It just has the best, freshest stuff, and the people REALLY CARE about providing great products.

Our Market has the best of everything...Fresh produce from local farms, fresh breads from local bakeries, fresh meat from local cattle, all natural herbs, and local honey as well as the great things you can make from it. Although there are many other farmland ventures in Cache Valley not all participate in the market. But knowing that we have access to all kinds of good foods makes this Valley the best around.    In these times when there are constant issues with meats, fruits, salad products, etc from the grocery stores, it brings us peace of mind knowing that we don't have to worry. This makes my family feel safe and above all else healthier!    The Craft Vendors have beautiful items for home, family, and friends that make wonderful gifts that aren't run of the mill. How nice to be able to give a gift that someone will use and enjoy!    I hope you'll join us one of these Saturdays and see for yourself the plethora of goods available to everyone if you make the effort. Our Market keeps growing and growing and if that doesn't tell you it's the best I don't know what will!

Because of the people, frequency, and lovely produce!

Great community; emphasis on fresh & local!

Great value and lots of fun.  Needs more booths! :)

Cache Valley Gardeners Market is still small enough that everyone knows each other. All the vendors are so friendly and helpful. In Cache Valley, farming is still alive and well, and these farmers help keep it that way. They are all very passionate about what they grow.

It's not just a market. It's a community, a party, and a network of deep caring. When one of the little junior gardeners was dying early last summer with a brain tumor, the market organized Clarissa Packer Day. Every little child got a free supply of plants and seeds for planting their own "Clarissa's Garden." Vendors and customers alike contributed a considerable sum to help Clarissa's parents defray her medical expenses. And when she came to the market on "Clarissa Packer Day," less than a week before she died, we hugged her and one another and wept without embarrassment.

Great stuff. Wednesdays too beginning in July

The food is produced locally, the eggs are the best, and the people who run the market are very friendly.

It has grown to be a wonderful place to stop and support local growers and vendors.  Great diversity, music, special events, etc.

It's just great.  Great people, open early in the season, and late.  Lots of local produce and food. Great music!  Easy parking everywhere around the whole park and neighborhood - you can always find a parking place within one and a half large Logan blocks.

I just love the people and the atmosphere at this one.

This is the best one in the State! So much delectable spinach and greens.  Yum!

I really enjoy the people here.  Wish I lived a little closer though.  Love it!

The vendors are great, it is a wonderful place for children and their parents, and the produce is fantastic.  They have a long session with vendors selling fresh greens on the first market day, and ending with squash and corn in the fall. I love that my children and I can get locally grown honey, eggs, fruit and veggies all summer long.

Awesome market dudes!

The Cache Valley Gardeners' Market provides a great gathering place for all types of people. It's one of the only places we can buy locally grown and made products, and the live music is fantastic. I look forward to it every year!!

The name, "gardener's market", says it all. You don't have to be what our culture thinks of as the modern "farmer" to participate (i.e., someone with acres of land, a yard full of machinery, silos, barns, living miles from an urban center).  Yes, our market has those, but it also has the "little guy", too--the kid who is selling cookies, the couple selling greens grown on less than one acre, the young moms squeezing lemonade, the lady who brings a few dozen eggs and sells out before 10 every week. Our market expands what it means to be a "farmer."

Because it is organic, clean, fun and lively.  I love it!

It is very well organized; the volunteer council is very motivated and works through problems quickly and effectively. The Market started out so small and has grown exponentially in the last few years, to the point where it had to find a new venue and had an additional day for produce vendors to sell. Buying and selling there is a pleasant and smooth process.

Brings community together in a way that no church, school, or sporting event can. Brings us together in a way that we think about place, what we are producing, and how to have fun.

Old-time, small-town, fresh and fun market. Great veggies, baked goods, plants, live music, and crafts.

They always have great learning tables.  They have a great variety.  They are so friendly.  I learn something new about the earth and stuff each time I go.  Ready to help anyone.

Great local produce and crafts.

The feeling of the Cache Valley Gardeners' Market is very relaxed.  It is a fun atmosphere that is for the entire family.  The produce vendors are always pleasant and kind, and there are a lot of crafts to admire as well.

Because the Hubbell's are involved and help make it run so smoothly

Everything is locally grown and sold from people in my neighborhood.

It is very well attended and has a very good variety of products available.  They have multiple produce vendors, and even end up having the produce twice a week instead of just the once.  We have people travel into town from all over the valley just to browse the stalls and listen to the music performers.  You can't get much better than that.

The Vendors are cheerful, well supplied and eager to help me. They demonstrate how to use the fresh foods as well as present them in an appealing way.  The food simply tastes wonderful when I use it to feed my family.  We also love the variety of foods and crafts and the setting.  The Market draws interesting, friendly people who come back time after time.  More than a market, The Cache Valley Farmer's market is a "Happening."

I love Logan's Farmers Market because most all the people who sell there are from Cache Valley. I buy my soap at the market and then can still get it in the winter. I also buy goods from a woman who can sew wonderfully. She lives here and has made Christmas gifts for me. I could go on and on...I jus love them!!!  Saving farmland...I live with farmland on all sides of my home. I grew up here and hope that the city doesn't get what they want...they will annex us into the city. Live will change. I well will have to be capped. Having the beautiful view we have of the valley will be gone and of course the life long friends will have to sell their farms to be able to make it through this big change!!

Our market opens Mother's Day weekend and has lots of early spring greens! Yeah!

Lots of variety and fun, fun, fun

It's a great mix of local produce and crafts! You can find just about anything there! From fresh bread, fresh cut flowers, baby bids, and awesome earrings! Anything!

The people in charge are delightful and keep the market running smoothly.

It is a happening place. It has a great combination of produce vendors, artisans, food and beverages. The entertainment is superb. Most importantly, it provides a way for locals to buy local produce, meats, cheeses and other agricultural products. It also shows the local box-markets that the local population wants local products. Without local markets, the small farmers won't be able to sustain their businesses and we will lose their green space that is critical to sustaining our environment.

Our farmers market sits in a quaint part of Merlin Olsen's Park, with trees surrounding the area.  The vegetables have been picked fresh that morning or the evening before, therefore they are "Fresh".  There is a variety of meats at the market along with bread, honey, berries, fruits, jam and fantastic fresh flowers.  The local crafts are from very talented local people.  Most of the crafts are homemade and outdoor bells, watercolor and oil paintings, jewelry of all kinds, aprons to die for, and all kinds of items for babies and toddlers, high quality homemade soap, and good variety of other products.  Not to for get the massage therapist's and others with alternative health techniques.  The live music and fresh cooked food each week brings you in to listen and eat before you look at all the booths.  The best part is they have provided picnic tables so you can eat or rest.  There is playground equipment for the kids that are getting restless to play on.    Not only the normal things happening they have specific days for children that have themes i.e.  Petting zoo (small animals, kids craft day, planting. Plus some adult work shops.    I personally think that getting with your community is comforting and rewarding.  Plenty of people go just for the visiting.  Myself, I go for multiple reasons, especially fresh food.  I have been to other farmers market in the state when I am visiting their city, they are nice but the feel of the atmosphere is different with some.  Salt Lake City's market is great but you can not effectively get to all the booths without totally rushing.  They are too big.  Then other towns they are too small, like hardly anything to choose from.

We were new in town (just moved in 2 weeks before) and decided to go to the market.  We met so many kind and like-minded people in our community. It felt very welcoming and we felt comfortable in our community - connected, you know?  We go every weekend we can, even if we don't buy anything, just to be there with everyone. We truly love supporting our community.

It's continuity. The same people have been committed to running and organizing this market for years. It's wonderful to see them when we go. They are always friendly, always helpful, and always making sure quality to provide quality produce and products, while at the same time being open-minded to try new ideas.

What a lovely weekly gathering place for friends and neighbors AND a great opportunity to buy fresh produce grown in our own community!!!

It is in a beautiful park, very well organized, a big variety of products, live music, good prices and nice people.  I do most of my gift giving, birthdays and Christmas shopping at the market, along with picking up fresh produce and breads.

The products are diverse and the vendors are friendly.

Freshly picked produce and fruits, hand made food products; hand crafted items made from fabric, wood, jewelry and natural products as well as photos taken of our beautiful area.  Everything is made within the Cache Valley by residents that personally sell their products. The purchaser can be assured they are receiving only carefully made products made using high quality raw materials for the price they pay.

It is a friendly market with so many talented gardeners and artisans.  I think it is a very big asset to our community and provides a variety of product for purchase.  All products are hand made by our talented vendors and gardeners and lots of time and lots of love goes into each and every item.  I love being a part of such a wonderful organization that gives people the opportunity to sell their talents to the public.  Keep supporting the Local Gardeners Market and support your local farmers and artisans.

We have it all!  From food, to entertainment, art, jewelry, crafts and much more!  We might be a small community, but our gardeners market is large on value and fun.

We love Logan farmers market because of the variety and organization

Love the variety of food products. Great improvement. Great variety of crafts.

Love the variety of food products. Great improvement. Great variety of crafts.

The Cache Valley Farmer's Market should be one of America's Favorites because it is truly local goods only.  Market managers insure the produce and handicrafts are locally produced.  Everyone, from small children to commercial farms, bring flowers, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, preserves, and handicrafts.  I plan my weekly menu on what is in season and available at the market.  The market is also the place to see and be seen; listen to local musicians and shop.  It is the highlight of my week.

This market is a great example of providing opportunity to share produce from small- to mid-sized local growers.  The variety and quality are always superb.  It allows us to share our surplus with neighbors, and provides an outlet for local, sustainable growers.

There is incredible quality with our local market.  Cheese, bread, produce.  You can build a great meal here.

It brings out all the hippies and granolas of Logan!  It is so much fun; I always meet new and interesting people there, as well as buy local produce.

It brings people from every walk of life in our valley (and visitors too) together. The market is very strict about selling only local food, art, crafts and services. It enjoys a lot of support from vendors as well as shoppers. It is in a lovely park venue. We have unusual offerings that even people in large cities covet, such as over 15 varieties of heirloom tomato plants (and later we will have the tomatoes).

We love to load up the jeep with all the kids and head to Logan to the local farmers market. Its something we all look forward to as a family every Saturday morning. We like the atmosphere. The music is always playing. People are always friendly. Everything is fresh

Beautiful Cache Valley, Utah, a traditional agricultural community of over 100,000, is being transformed by McMansions, big box and strip mall propagation, and the rampant consumption of valuable, rich and fertile farmland for oversized housing developments. Yet the character of the valley remains intact, for now. Many local communities within the valley also have smaller Gardeners Markets, but this one in Logan has an absolute atmosphere of togetherness, joy, and friendship. We see folks there that we don't otherwise; Kids gather and play at the on-site playground. Music is in the air, and the crafts, naturally grown foods and water-wise plants, as well as many different types of wares, crafts, and useful items available make the Logan market the one to truly experience in the valley. It bolsters and encourages the agricultural heritage of Cache Valley amid a time and place that seems furiously intent upon become an urban/ suburban landscape.

Because we see so many friends, the live music, local produce and local artists.

It has a huge selection during the season and is located in beautiful Cache Valley Utah. Having a farmers market really helps people realize the connection between them and their food through the farmers present.

Cache Valley Gardener's Market contributes immensely to a sense of community in Logan and surrounding areas and a pride in its ownership. This is in addition to providing a venue where amateur and other local gardeners, both young and very seasoned, share their produce and gardening expertise. In the several years my family participated in the events at CVGM, we have met and befriended so many wonderful people. We have learnt so much about sustainable agriculture and experienced first-hand the pleasure and benefit of buying local produced vegetables and fruit, as well as handicrafts and prepared food. We miss CVGM sorely now that we have moved away (actually across the Atlantic to Sweden). We will always hope for a healthy and prospering CVGM and intend to make every effort to drop in for a Saturday morning chat with our friends if we are in the area. Good Luck CVGM. You are indeed the top of my list.

It is fun and diverse

The Logan cities Gardeners Market is great because it is in a central part of town. This encourages people to walk and bike to get their produce. There are always a good variety of products from all kinds of veggies, to breads from the local artisan bakery, handmade cheeses that are to die for, and even handmade goat milk soaps! And you'd be missing out if you didn't get fresh squeezed lemonade very refreshing!!! We love our local gardeners market!!!

Provides great local food and crafts as well as lots of fun, socializing with friends, and entertainment -- it is a critical part of our community.

Great people, music, produce, and other items. One of the highlights of our community!

Cache Valley Gardeners Market has marvelous vegetables and fruit fresh from the garden and the crafts are outstanding.  There is good food and music.

This the high point of the summer for many residents of this farming and industrial community.  One always finds friends here, and many people spend 1-2 hours shopping, eating, visiting and listening to music (a different group every week).  All of the produce must come from the valley.  We have baked goods from 3 bakeries (at least one is artisan) and an artisan cheese producer.  Almost all the fresh produce I buy in the summer comes from this market.  I have been to several markets in larger towns, and ours is by far the best I have seen.  Our valley is really beautiful, and the communities are making a real effort to balance development with open space.

We love this one because people are friendly.

A small market that's grown in size and popularity over the years, this market provides a must-go destination every Saturday morning.

It brings together a diversity of community members to share food, friends and fellowship.  When I go to gardeners market, I feel as though I am part of something greater than myself.  It inspires me to make our community a better place.

It's ALL local produce.  Nothing brought out of California or anywhere else.  It's the real thing and it just plain old tastes better!

Community involvement is high as buyers and sellers, great atmosphere and good products

This market is a great gathering place and provides a wonderful sense of community. My 8 year old daughter loves to go and meet her friends there - sometimes they get together to make and sell hand-made potholders. We meet friends; buy local grown, organic produce, flowers, eggs, and crafts - all in a beautiful park under huge, old trees - listening to local musicians. It is absolutely the place to be on Saturday summer mornings in Cache Valley.

This market has everything: music, crafts, burritos, bakeries, soaps, jellies, organic cheese, fresh fish, pottery, handmade furniture, painting, photography, and volunteer opportunities are some of the things offered. But nothing can compare with the community feeling. It is a gathering place for hundreds of people, an opportunity to keep up with community events, news, and with personal needs of individuals as news travels. I wouldn't miss it.

They have the best produce at a great value. The people are so nice and the atmosphere is wonderful.

In addition to the regular and best vendors, the Cache Valley Gardeners' Market has a consistent flow of new vendors that offer diverse wares appealing to many tastes. Some of my favorites are the earliest tomatoes, hand-knitted items from hand-spun yarn, and lemonade with fresh fruit squeezed right in front of me.  Our market here in Logan is not just a site for sales, it's a community event that brings people together to socialize, support their local resources, and enjoy the quintessential friendly atmosphere that is part of our valley. Children can be seen sampling delicious artisan breads, dancing to live music, and best of all, running through the park with fruits, veggies and pastries in their hands. How wonderful it is to see the youngest and oldest together enjoying what the good earth, honest labor, and hard working hands have to offer.

We love our market! My family lives in a beautiful and fruitful valley with some great local farmers who deliver tasty and attractive produce all season. I love to teach my kids about where our food comes from, and can do so quite easily at the farmers' market. We also like the "alternative" flavor of the market since we moved from a more liberal community in Colorado to a more conservative one in Utah.

The Cache Valley Farmers Market is nature's CHEER'S Bar....Everybody knows your name. And they know what you are shopping for, and how ripe you like your tomatoes, and that you prefer the end crust when you buy a piece of fresh baked bread. When you are there, you are among friends living a common goal, which is to take only what we need from the earth, use what we already have, and enjoy the ride while we are doing it. Without farmland, this wonderful journey will come to screeching halt, and we will find ourselves in line at BIG-mart, buying tainted produce, and wishing that we were at the farmers market, buying chemical free potatoes that were freshly plucked from local soil. Saving farmland is the equivalent of saving ourselves.

It's the right size, it has local produce, and it's FUN :)

It has a little bit of everything for everyone from homemade organic soaps to wild flowers, to amazing produce and meats to live music, foot zoning, and someone to braid your daughter’s hair.  There is even a vegan baker who makes boutique style cupcakes that sale out if you don't get there early enough. There is a magic sense of community that encourages conversations with strangers and embracing friends.  I'm not a native and now feel tied to this community forever because how could I ever leave having experienced the Cache Valley Farmers Market. On a more sobering side, I have a son with ADHD and another with a congenital heart defect.  Being able to purchase locally grown produce and meats that I know are organic and "safe" for my children is huge.  Their health and well being is #1 on my list and I can't tell you how timeless, valued, and life sustaining shopping at the farmers market is to my family and how supported I feel as a mother being able to provide healthy, fresh produce and meats to my family.

Love the variety of vendors.  They are a bunch of happy people willing to share.

I love Cache Valley Gardener's market! It's one of my favorite places to be on a Saturday morning. The atmosphere is light and friendly, helped by the music, happy people, and delicious food! It's got that small-town appeal, without being close-minded. There's something at this market for everyone!

It has a nice variety of foods. We particularly enjoy shopping for beef and Lamb at Lau family Farm's booth.

True farmers....making a true farmers market!

It's a true Farmers Market with garden fresh items twice weekly.  It also has great music, free food, and special activities for children. Something for everyone!

It's small but wonderful.  Local foods, music, craft--it’s amazing what this small valley full of people have to offer. I love Logan's Gardner's Market!

The venue, the gardeners, the music, the fresh local veggies and fruits are all the reasons why it is the number 1 market in the USA.

The Gardeners Market in Logan is the best -- it has the freshest produce, the best variety, and the nicest people.
